We’re delighted to invite you to a special rose workshop with David Austin’s rose expert, Milly — a relaxed and informative afternoon dedicated to one of the nation’s most loved garden plants.

Whether you’re completely new to roses or already have a garden full of blooms, this friendly workshop is designed to help you grow your confidence and knowledge while enjoying a beautiful setting surrounded by roses.
The afternoon begins at 2pm with tea and biscuits before the main talk from 3–4pm, held in our indoor or outdoor workshop space right beside the roses themselves. Guests will have the chance to learn directly from an expert about the history, beauty and care of David Austin roses, while discovering practical tips to use at home.
During the workshop, Milly will cover:
- How David Austin roses are bred
- Popular and standout rose varieties
- The difference between shrub, climbing and rambler roses
- Exciting new introductions
- Growing roses in pots and containers
- Choosing the right compost and rose food
- Simple pruning techniques
- Using mycorrhizal fungi for healthier plants
- Growing roses for cut flowers
The session is designed to be welcoming, informative and easy to follow, making it perfect for beginners as well as experienced gardeners looking to expand their knowledge.
