What to Expect

Our workshop begins with a mesmerising live watermelon carving demonstration from our professional resident fruit carver Nasima Khatun. Watch as she transforms an ordinary watermelon into an intricate festive display, showcasing the techniques used by expert carvers on TV and at major events.

You may recognise Nasima from her appearances on Channel 4’s Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas, the HSBC TV Commercial, ITV’s All Star Mr & Mrs, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats, and her special appearance alongside the Hairy Bikers and David Walliams on BBC One’s The One Show.

After the demonstration, it’s your turn! You’ll be guided through carving your own Christmas-themed fruit design, using everyday fruits and specialist tools provided. This is a relaxing, inspiring session suitable for complete beginners as well as creative enthusiasts.
