Recap: Botanical Illustration Workshop

Last weekend, Flowerland had the pleasure of welcoming families, friends, and creatives of all ages to a very special Botanical Illustration & Nature Crafts event, hosted by the incredibly talented local artist Georgina from @ga.illustration.

The day was filled with creativity, inspiration, and connection with nature. From adults exploring the delicate art of botanical ink illustration, to children getting hands-on with nature wands, mark-making, and crafts, there was truly something for everyone.

A Space for Creativity

Our outdoor space was transformed into an inspiring hub of creativity. Under Georgina’s guidance, guests learned to observe and sketch the details of leaves, flowers, and stems, while little ones got to unleash their imaginations with fun nature-based crafts. The results were nothing short of amazing – each piece reflecting personal style and a shared love for the natural world.

Community Spirit

The feedback has been fantastic, with many attendees sharing kind words and asking when the next event will be. It was heart-warming to see both adults and children leave not only with their creations, but with smiles, memories, and a renewed connection to the outdoors.

Looking Ahead

We’re so grateful to Georgina for curating such a magical day and to everyone who joined us. This event reminded us of the joy that comes from slowing down, getting creative, and enjoying nature together.
